A concept for custom surfboard fin production utilizing data gathered generative design techniques and carbon fiber 3D printer technology. These fins can be created on an individual basis using high high quality materials. We are currently studying the impact of fin surface pattern density on lift, speed, maneuverability and strength as we refine the fin. While there are certain things, which have traditionally required special expertise and equipment, that many individuals and companies are able to produce, with the new concept of designing the surface, fin and fin. We believe this will reduce costs and waste significantly and enable us to produce better sporting equipment.
